• Graduate of a recognized Post Secondary institution or college the field of Biology, Ecology, or Environmental Sciences
• 5+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience
• Professional designation (i.e., P.Ag. or R.P.Bio.) or eligible to apply
• Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and other MS Office programs
• Current Safety Tickets (a plus)
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residency


• Ability to coordinate project planning, logistics and preparation for field work and to lead environmental field crews
• Ability to provide leadership and direction to other environmental team members
• Strong commitment to client satisfaction and a working knowledge of the oil and gas industry, agriculture industry, and/or crown land applications
• Working technical knowledge and understanding of applicable environmental regulations, guidelines and associated industry practices within BC BC Oil and Gas Commission processes and expectations, BC Oil and Gas Activities Act, BC Water Sustainability Act, BC Land Act, and related regulations and guidelines)
• Superior attention to detail and ability to produce professional deliverables on budget and on time
• Experience with providing technical review of consulting reports
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Well-organized and ability to maintain accurate and up to date project and client information
• Strong oral and written communication and technical report writing skills

• Interface with clients and staff to setup, manage and report on environmental services related to upstream oil and gas facilities and regulatory requirements
• Assist with building and maintaining positive client relationship focused on providing top quality service and project management excellence
• Lead and participate in environmental projects from the proposal stage through planning, logistics, and execution, including watercourse, wetland, vegetation, soil, timber, and wildlife assessments
• Analyze and interpret field data, and provide quality assurance/quality checks on data collected by field staff
• Complete technical reporting for Schedule A Soils Assessments, Fish Habitat Assessments, Wildlife Assessments, Wetland Classification & Mitigation Reports, Environmental Protection Plans, and reclamation reports
• Develop, revise, and maintain technical reports with a focus on professionalism and corporate branding
• Take on a “Projects Lead” role to ensure the team is meeting client expectations, project deadlines, and deliverables
• Assist with mentoring, training, and leading members of our environmental team from a technical perspective
• Work close with Environmental Manager to coordinate workloads and logistics across multiple offices to facilitate teamwork and to balance workloads
• Monitor our shared group schedule to ensure it accounts for all foreseeable work and vacation requests
• Assist Environmental Manager with recruiting efforts and new employee onboarding
• Update and oversee all fieldwork and reporting tasks assigned on our Microsoft Planner dashboard
• Undertake occasional assignments that may involve travel and periods of time away from home office, including baseline field studies, construction compliance monitoring, site reconnaissance, field biological surveys, client meetings, etc.
