Family And Youth Facilitator

The North East Native Advancing Society (NENAS) is a non-profit charitable organization that plays a leading role in providing programs and services to First Nations (Status and Non-Status) and Inuit people residing in Northeastern BC. Our team at NENAS is dynamic and our commitment for helping people is the driving force to our success. We are looking for a Family and Youth Facilitator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating family and youth support services program (parenting skills and youth life skills
program).
- Networking with First Nations communities, MCFD, School District 60, and other Aboriginal
organizations and Social Service agencies.
- One-on-One support with youth and families.
- Coordinate projects, events and programs.
- Develop information resources and promotional materials.
- Maintaining client records in accordance to MCFD.
- Reporting requirements to MCFD to include monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting.
- Required to drive participants to and from programs and events.

Qualifications:
- Certificate, diploma or degree in a health, psychology, social work or human services field,
and /or combination of relevant education and experience working with families and youth.
- A commitment to working with youth and their families.
- Good communication and written skills.
- Strong project planning skills.
- Candidate must have excellent management, interpersonal and computer skills.
- Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
- Must understand the basic concepts of a non-profit organization.
- Ability to plan age-appropriate program activities.
- A valid BC driver’s license and clean driving abstract is required.
- A Criminal Record Check will be required upon employment.

Salary will be based on industry standards. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits plan that includes Extended health, dental, and vision care and critical illness.
