Totem Preschool Office Admin/Teacher’s Assistant
Facilitating a healthy learning environment at all times, providing high quality care and supporting the daily needs of the children.
All administrative tasks associated with the preschool’s daily operations (including but not limited to: answering the phone and emails, collecting monthly fees, registration assistance, updating social media, purchasing and small tasks throughout the day.
Acting as a liaison between the teachers, parents and the executive board to ensure smooth operation of preschool.
Team player with a commitment to reflective work with children and an eagerness to promote collaborative interactions with all staff.
Ability to work collaboratively with respect to families, program educators, volunteers, and others.
Develop and foster relationships with parents and educators.
Self-motivated with the goal of maintaining a healthy work and learning environment.
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office, email and/or internet applications
Training on our systems will be provided.
Patient individual with a passion for working with children.
Criminal Record Check
This position is a 10 month a year position, following the same schedule as the traditional school year. Closed for summer, spring break, winter holiday, and statutory holidays.
Hours required are 9am - 3pm, Monday - Friday, with some room for flexibility.
Salary based upon experience.
Certifications not required, but an asset. Will provide the Responsible Adult course to the right candidate.
