Macro Industries is Hiring for a

Safety Administrator;

The Safety Administrator will maintain all documents within the Health and Safety Program while assisting in the development of any new Policies and Procedures to enhance the companies already functioning program. They will be responsible for ensuring all employee orientations are completed, and employee files are maintained daily.

Essential Responsibilities
•Ability to work independently as well as in a team-based atmosphere
•Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations and project kick offs to take meeting minutes.
•Acquire competence and understanding in executing HSE management systems and program in all types of situations (project start up, duration and close out).
•Independently create ERPS (Emergency Response Plans) , manage inventory (coveralls, hard hats, monitors, and basic safety supplies
•Assist in the development and enhance Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practice documents based on existing materials.
•Understand all business unit safety programs, company codes of business conduct, site specific procedures and management systems.
•Seek to understand and meet the demands of various stakeholders, including internal and external clients.
•Support and acts where required for new project kick offs
•Practice attentive and active listening skills
•Obtain basic understanding of complementary HSE functions such as Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health practices.
•Assist in the company Preventive Maintenance Program.

•Relevant industry Health and Safety experience in the construction and/or maintenance industries is an asset but not required.
•Has or is willing to take the health and safety administrator courses.
•Ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce, while also effectively interacting with project management staff, clients, and customers.
•Excellent verbal, written communications, and computer skills.
•Ability to provide a proactive approach to safety,
•A strong team player attitude with the ability to effectively adjust to changing priorities and demands.
•Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with clean abstract.

Work Conditions
• Must be local.
• Ability to drive in winter conditions
• Successful completion of fitness to work assessment
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits:Available at 3 months

•10 Hour Shift
•7am to 5pm
•Monday to Friday (Occasionally call in for weekends)
