**Location: Prince George**
Working with our internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Operations Manager oversees all activities for the North Coast, Peace Region, and Prince George divisions of Securiguard's Security Operations.
This role will involve providing guidance, mentorship, and instruction to the account management team with the goal of enhancing service delivery to an existing key client base, increasing operational efficiencies, and implementing cost controls to maximize profits, minimize non-billable overtime and maintain appropriate wage budgets.
* Manage, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) (which include financial performance) for all aspects of Securiguard's service delivery
*Monitor the daily activities of the North Coast, Peace Region and Prince George branches
Supervise and manage team members; clarify to team members their roles, responsibilities, expectations, scope of authority, relationships to others, and resources to work effectively
*Conduct performance reviews and recognize efforts and contributions for all direct reports; work with them to implement development plans
*Work with the team to assess supervisors and security officers through "Quality Assurance" audits; identify and promote security officers from within for job enrichment or advancement opportunities
*Regularly meet with clients and visit their sites to access current services and level of satisfaction; ensure all contract requirements are being met or exceeded expectations; and forecast future needs and suggests improving options
*Work as a team with multiple internal departments to solve clients' issues in a timely manner
Inform and persuades clients on new technological advancements or services which would assist in supporting their needs
*Engage and build relations with First Nation (FN) partners and ensures maximization of FN and local employment through coordination of basic security training (BST) classes
*Manage implementation and ongoing oversight of our Pandemic Plan to protect our staff, clients, and local Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities from the spread of the coronavirus
*Promote a health and safety culture with a goal to manage zero incidents; establish and monitor safety practices
*Work with team to investigate and report on all security and safety incidents by utilizing electronic software and provides correction actions based on findings of the investigations
*Ensure team coordinates fleet team to facilitate repairs/regular maintenance as required and make sure all vehicles are properly equipped with project requirements
*Be on call and able to support the operations as required.
*Minimum of 5 years of experience as a manager in a large operational setting
*Experience in an operational setting involving the management and supervision of a big team
*Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, and business acumen
*Demonstrated attributes in leadership, judgment, decision making, delegation, planning, organizing, problem-solving, analytical skill, interpersonal sensitivity, and tolerance
*Experience with writing procedures, drafting reports, preparing business cases and compiling and adjusting duty rosters to meet shortfalls in staffing levels
*Experience managing safety programs
*Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract
*Experience in loss prevention, security, or law enforcement with experience in large or multiple sites is an asset
*University Degree and/or College Diploma or certificate in Security Operations, or equivalent experience is an asset
