We are currently looking for a creative Graphic Designer who is responsible for creating visual
concepts, using computer software or by hand. The ideal candidate will create and develop graphics for applications for illustrations, logos, advertisements, social media, brochures, banners, posters, reports, events, etc. and help shape the visual aspects of websites and landing pages. The candidate will be tasked with creating unique and brand materials for both internal and external use. The Graphic Designer is required to have imagination and initiative and is able to develop a concept within schedule, maintain an organized workflow and complete assignments quickly and efficiently. The Graphic Designer will have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. The Graphic Designer will conceptualize and produce graphics and design layouts for web and print materials. The incumbent will work closely with the team to ensure high quality design consistency and
to develop creative material that meets project requirements. The Graphic Designer will be creative, innovative, an eye for detail, and is able to easily adapt to changes. The Graphic Designer will work closely and collaborate with the other team members to understand project expectations, brainstorm ideas, create concepts, develop messaging, conduct research and assist other team members on projects.
Your responsibilities will include: ? Design and create various materials for social media, websites, posters, banners, flyers, brochures, business cards, newsletters, advertising, print, podcasts, and video development. ? Create materials by hand or by using design software, such as Adobe’s Creative Suite – including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, etc. ? Develop website content and graphics by coordinating with other team members. Design images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc. ? Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication. ? Develop and maintain graphic guidelines and brand templates. ? Produce content for multiple formats. ? Collaborate with the team from concept development to delivery of final products. ? Conduct research to formulate ideas, support artwork, and understand the client’s needs and target audiences. ? Assist in developing and maintaining a clear and consistent brand. ? Assists with creating student handouts and worksheets. ? Manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
? Completion of a degree/diploma in Graphic Arts, Design, Communications or related discipline is an asset.
? 1 to 3 years’ experience in graphic design and marketing with a solid portfolio of work.
? Experience in web page design, and Google Analytics.
? Proficient in a wide range of computer graphics software, including: Adobe Creative Suite
(InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Acrobat Professional, Canva, Sketch, Quark, Dreamweaver, and Flash abilities.
? Social media and content marketing experience.
? Exceptional writing, typing, editing, proofreading and research skills.
? Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, ecommerce, etc.
? Proficient in Microsoft Office software, G Suite, and content collaboration tools.
? Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.
? Solid understanding of SEO concepts and performance best practices.
? A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
