Vision Compression & Machining is seeking an experienced Full-Time Machinist to join our team.

Vision Compression & Machining offers machining and repair service for all industries in the Fort St. John area, we pride ourselves on safety, quality and service. We are currently seeking a hard working, positive, experienced machinist.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Reading and understanding engineered drawings, blueprints, parts blow ups
• Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments
• Documenting and reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances
• Maintaining work area to the highest housekeeping standards
• Performing non-production related work as requested by the shift leader
• Adhering to all Health and Safety, and Environmental requirements
• Mentoring and training junior machinists

Position Requirements:

• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to use complex equipment requiring continuous attention
• Knowledge of reciprocating compressors is an asset
• Developed judgment skills
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Ability to multitask
• Team player with positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
