• Ability and willingness to travel throughout BC & Alberta on a regular basis, dependent on job locations.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant safety/HR experience.
• Experience with the WCB process and claims management
• Hold a valid drivers’ license
• Able to work effectively with people of all levels including management, employees, and contractors.
• Highly organized with attention to detail. Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast changing situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in an efficient and professional matter.
• Good self –starter, ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Proficient in Microsoft basic suite of programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)


Description:

Dakow Ventures Ltd. is a currently seeking a hard-working individual to join our team as our Human Resources.

The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to be a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude and looks forward to growing personally and professionally with Dakow. Dakow Ventures is locally owned and operated out of Fort St. John. Some of the services our company offer are; Open-Cut River Crossings, Aquadam Supplies and Installation, HDD Frac-Out Control, Creek Isolations, Variety of Dewatering services, along with equipment and pump rentals.

Responsibilities:
• Provide active Safety Leadership.
• Support with staff meetings for office and field staff.
• Ensure that all company vehicles are accounted through daily/monthly inspections.
• Regularly update the vehicle and equipment action log for audit purposes.
• Vehicle and Liability Insurance reviews, submissions to ISN and Comply works, COR requirements.
• Ensure that there is constant and proficient communication regarding safety between all levels of management and employees.
• Ensure that the Field Manager is informed of any safety requirements, tickets expiring and new or altered safety procedures.
• Ensure that all provincial legislature and Work Safe regulations are up to date and followed at all worksites.
• Maintain accurate records with field manager of each job site.
• Conduct and participate in all monthly safety meeting.
• Ensure compliancy to all company policies.
• Support management with employee compliancy to all company policies.
• PPE Policy and enforcement.
• Record keeping of safety related paperwork.
• Maintain field, office and shop SDS.
• Tailgate/toolbox & safety meeting records (file when received from field and office staff).
• Maintenance records (track and file per piece of equipment).
• WCB Records (maintain all aspects of WCB requirements including uploading document to ISN, Comply Works and Clearance letters to clients upon
• Employment onboarding; Paperwork, Work Hub onboarding, quality control of meeting hiring requirements.
• Providing clients with required daily, weekly and monthly safety and statistic reporting.


Wage based on experience and education.
Benefits available after 6 months.
