Flag Football Tournament a Big Hit
North Peace Oscars Football

This past weekend the North Peace Oscars hosted their second bantam aged flag football tournament. Our high school players ran them through drills all week long and taught the game of football to this very eager group. With nearly 70 kids participating from as far way as Chetwynd we were able to split into 5 teams and played a round robin style. As a result the Domino's Dominators were eliminated from the play off round. In the semi's we saw the Wayland Wacko's fall to the Pembina Lepricans and the FSJNOW Knights lose to the Longstaff Longhorns. After a long day, and one of the first warm days of the year the finals saw the Longhorns defeat a depleted Leprican crew who despite their small numbers lost only one game all day long. There was a lot of good football played in this tournament, and the coaches can't wait for this group to get into pads and help contribute to the success of the Oscars program.

Thanks to all the parents for driving the kids to practice and sitting through a long day. Thanks to the high schoolers for such great instruction and thanks to Domino's for the pizza.
