JOB DESCRIPTION: NEAT is looking for a dynamic, creative, and results oriented Business Manager to work out of our office in Fort St John, BC. The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and will carry out the following tasks: • Design, manage, and evaluate all of NEAT’s social enterprises including a retail store, shipping and deliveries, and workshop space to fit within NEAT’s mission & vision • Work to achieve NEAT’s strategic goals and objectives, mission & vision, and theory of change • Assess and identify new opportunities for economic growth • Recruit and train new employees • Perform regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement • Develop and maintain partnerships with local community groups • Organize community outreach and information sessions • Be responsible for inventory control • Perform risk assessments daily, weekly, & ensure applicable health and safety protocols are adhered to • Complete all mandatory reports and participate fully in weekly meetings • Represent NEAT professionally at all times • Be a positive team player and work collaboratively to ensure the success of all NEAT operations • Complete other duties as assigned This position may require a varied workweek schedule to accommodate special events and other activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Post-secondary education in business management or equivalent experience • Sensitivity to and knowledge of environmental issues, especially related to local food security and zero/minimal waste lifestyles • Excellent communication and public speaking skills • Outstanding leadership abilities • Ability to build community relationships and analyze information from the community to guide program direction • Demonstrable analytical thinking & business insight. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate motivation and initiative • Ability to work varied hours (mornings, evenings, and weekends) with notice • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Internet usage REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE To be eligible for the program, job applicants should meet the following criteria: • Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations. • Valid BC Driver’s License and regular access to a vehicle • Meets requirements for working with children • Subject to security review Term of Position • This is a full-time salaried position. Hours of work will vary according to the activities being undertaken, averaging 40 hours per week for one year, with some evenings and weekend hours required. • Compensation starts at $47,840 annually based on experience • Extended benefits are available after a successful probation period Duration This position starts with a qualified candidate and will be re-evaluated after one year.

JOB DESCRIPTION (9 positions available) Camp Wildlings Leaders are based in Fort St John, BC and will report jointly to the Head Camp Leader and the Education Coordinator. Camp Wildlings Leaders will: – Support the Head Camp Leader in designing, executing, and evaluating nature based summer programming including daily schedules and activity plans; – Work proactively in a team environment to create the best possible camper outcomes – Set a positive example for all participants and staff – Gather materials for all activities – Perform risk assessments daily, weekly, and as necessary to keep all participants and staff safe; – Ensure any applicable covid-19 precautions are being adhered to throughout the camp season; – Liaise with campers and their caregivers to ensure the best possible camp experience; – Provide first aid and respond to emergency situations (weather, animal encounters, etc.) as necessary and completing all mandatory reports This position may require a varied workweek schedule to accommodate special events and other activities. NEAT is hiring 2 people to support Meals on Wheels and the daily meal service at Seniors Housing Society. JOB DESCRIPTION: Undertake basic cooking duties & prepare simple dishes, such as soup, salads, entrees, and dessert. Prepare cooking ingredients: wash and chop vegetables, cut meat, & perform other meal prep. Portion and serve meals Interact positively with clients Perform routine kitchen tasks. NEAT is looking for a full-time cook to support Meals on Wheels and the daily lunch/dinner service at the Seniors Housing Society. Total service is approximately 80 persons, or 120 meals daily. Job Description: Undertake basic cooking duties & prepare main dishes, soup, salads and dessert Prepare cooking ingredients: wash and chop vegetables, cut meat, & perform other meal prep.
