Valve Technician

Salary or Wage: $25.00 - $50.00/hr

Qualifications: - Positive attitude with a focus on customer service and producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Advanced analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
- Knowledge of gate, control, check and ball valves.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic actuators
- Basic computer skills and ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- Willingness to work overtime and in the field as required.
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis, frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to operate safely in a heavy equipment shop environment as well as on-site.
- Knowledge and understanding of H2S conditions and procedures during servicing/ repair operations.
- Competence in Health, Safety, and Environmental standards with up-to-date training
- Experience with pressurized equipment and relevant technical certifications.

We are currently seeking an Experienced Valve Technician to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Field valve troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs
- Shop valve cleaning, troubleshooting, tear-down, servicing, repairs, rebuilding, tagging, and painting.
- Calibrate, function test, and troubleshoot choke valves and a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric positioners and actuation.
- Assemble and disassemble new or used equipment
- Conduct Hydro Testing
- Maintain detailed service records, including non-conformance documentation when necessary.
- Courteous and professional communication with customers, vendors, and fellow employees
- General shop/ equipment maintenance and up-keep including storage, equipment clean-up and shipping and receiving as needed.
- Operate hand tools safely and properly, following manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
