Description:

Permanent position, 40 hours per week.
The duties of an electrician on a job site encompass a wide range of responsibilities related to electrical systems, installations, maintenance, and safety. Your responsibilities with us will include the following:
1. Installation: Setting up, installing, and configuring electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and other components according to blueprints, specifications, and relevant codes.
2. Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure proper functioning and longevity. This includes identifying and resolving issues such as shorts, overloads, and faulty connections.
3. Testing and Inspection: Conducting tests, inspections, and evaluations of electrical systems to identify potential problems, ensure compliance with safety standards, and verify proper operation.
4. Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols, regulations, and standards to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards on the job site. This includes implementing lockout/tagout procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and following electrical codes and regulations.
5. Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements, wiring layouts, and installation specifications.
6. Material and Equipment Handling: Selecting, ordering, and managing electrical materials, components, and equipment required for installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks. This also involves safely handling, storing, and transporting materials on the jobsite.
7. Collaboration: Collaborating with other tradespeople, contractors, project managers, and stakeholders to coordinate work activities, communicate project update:s, and ensure smooth project progression.
8. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, logs, and documentation of work performed, including material usage, labor hours, inspections, and any deviations from plans or specifications.
9. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction with the completed work. This may involve explaining electrical systems, offering recommendations, and providing ongoing support.
10. Continuing Education: Pursuing ongoing training, professional development, and certification to stay update:d on industry advancements, technologies, codes, and regulations related to electrical work.
