Description:

Recycle-It Resource Recovery is a locally owned and family operated business based in Fort St John. We have an immediate opening for a full time temporary Class 5 w/ Air Shredding & Recycling Truck Driver. This is a temporary 3-month contract to start, but may lead into a full time position for the right candidate.

Drivers will be responsible to service multiple customer accounts on a daily basis. Training will be provided. 40 – 45 hrs / week. Driver will be responsible for running route independently (up to 9 hrs per day). Must have commercial driving experience. Physical strength required. You will be wheeling bins up to the truck. You must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs. Waste management and/or delivery driving experience – a huge asset.

Comfortable with drug testing and must pass a criminal background check. Valid BC Driver’s license or equivalent (minimum Class 5) with airbrakes endorsement and safe driving record (5 year history with no accidents).

Responsibilities:

Perform daily pre-trip checklist
Collect bins from office buildings
Wheel bins up to the truck parked outside
Operate equipment as per safety and security procedures
Ensure all services are completed safely and efficiently as per our company procedures
Inform Dispatch of all developments that will affect the timeliness and efficiency of completing the route
Adhering to all policies and procedures on a daily basis
Ensuring that superior customer service is provided to clients
