CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in E&I maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.
We are looking to hire a Purchasing Agent to join our team based out of our Fort. St. John branch. The Purchaser reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for managing the ordering, processing and procurement functions for all materials required for our maintenance and construction E & I and Automation Divisions. While working alongside Project managers and Site Super Intendants from the Construction division and Maintenance Division. Ensure all materials are ordered in a timely manner, fall under the project’s cost analysis set out and pursue cost saving whenever possible. This position is integral to the sourcing, Procurement and purchasing for all CDN divisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process orders from start to finish, following procedures and ensuring proper communication.
- Confirm delivery details, enter parts into the system, and keep data error-free.
- Conduct product research for pricing, availability, and sourcing. Track and communicate all backorders efficiently.
- Pick orders, assist in receiving to gain knowledge, and off-load freight as needed. Arrange loading and transport of materials.
- Pursue cost savings opportunities and follow inventory control procedures.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and field staff. Assist the shipping and receiving department.
- Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices. Attend Safety Meetings regularly.
