Position:  1Respite/Skills Worker ~ Permanent, Part-Time  

Summary of Duties:   Working under the direction of the Special ServicesCoordinator, the Respite/Skills Worker will implement the program plan andprovide personal care for children and youth with special needs (birth to 19years of age) at the CDC or in the community.

Qualifications:   Completionof Grade 12 and courses/programs related  to child development, childcare,rehabilitation, special education, or recreation.  

       ·        Experienceworking with children and youth with special needs is an asset.

       ·        CPRor first aid course is an asset.

       ·        Mustbe self-directed, motivated, and able to work independently and in    cooperationwith others

      ·        Musthold a valid Class 5 Driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle for work use 

Classification/Salary:  $19.59/hour as per Community Sub Sector Collective Agreement, increasing to $19.97/hour after February 1, 2018


Hours of Work:                       Flexible hours, including evenings, 25-30hours/weekexcluding statutoryholidays  


Closing date:                          January 19, 2018  @ 4:30 pm or until filled                   (With a Start date of mid to end February)
