Position: 1Respite/Skills Worker ~ Permanent, Part-Time
Summary of Duties: Working under the direction of the Special ServicesCoordinator, the Respite/Skills Worker will implement the program plan andprovide personal care for children and youth with special needs (birth to 19years of age) at the CDC or in the community.
Completionof Grade 12 and courses/programs related to child development, childcare,rehabilitation, special education, or recreation.
Â· Experienceworking with children and youth with special needs is an asset.
Â· CPRor first aid course is an asset.
Â· Mustbe self-directed, motivated, and able to work independently and in cooperationwith others
Â· Musthold a valid Class 5 Driverâ€™s license and have a reliable vehicle for work use
Classification/Salary: $19.59/hour as per Community Sub Sector Collective Agreement, increasing to $19.97/hour after February 1, 2018
Hours of Work: Flexible hours, including evenings, 25-30hours/week
Closing date: January 19, 2018 @ 4:30 pm or until filled (With a Start date of mid to end February)
