Our onsite building caretaker’s provides basic maintenance and general upkeep to property grounds and buildings, depicting the pride of ownership and respect for our residents and delivering on our promise to residents to provide a safe and clean home in which to live.
-Clean all common areas including entrance and exits, ensure walkways are clear
-Vacuum/wash floors, elevators, hallways, stairs, windows and common rooms
-Maintain the grounds, including landscaped areas, sidewalks and parking lots
-Perform seasonal duties as required (gardening, mowing, weeding, snow removal and salting)
-Assist with minor maintenance as needed
-Collection of rent, issuing 10-day notices for non-payment of rent, and follow up of aging receivables.
-Maintain good communication between the owner, agent, and residents
-Be available to do showings of vacant suites for approved applications
-Preform move in/move out inspections as per the rental tenancy act
-Prior experience with building maintenance, janitorial or grounds keeping in either commercial or residential properties would be an asset
-Access to reliable transportation and possesses Class 5 Driver’s License and can provide a clean abstract
- Willing to be subject to a criminal background check free of relevant convictions
-Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance
-Have a strong customer service focus and be a team player who is willing to assist wherever required
-Work as part of an on-call team and on weekends as needed
-Strong organizational skills, good money management, and ability to adhere to health and safety protocols
-Treating our residents with respect, responding promptly to issues/concerns brought forth by residents
-Must be willing to live in the complex
